Shapes and Colors - So Much Fun!

Our second process art project was a collage using cardboard, glue, and paint. This was a two-day project that turned out amazing!

Many of my projects are inspired by Meri Cherry, a blogger who does AMAZING process art projects with preschoolers and who documents them oh so well! This one I found on her blog here. Thank you Meri!

So the kiddos started with a blank cardboard backing and a bunch of different shapes cut out of reusing cardboard boxes. I figured each child would use about 10 shapes and then cut out some more just in case. Also, it was great to have some help in the shape cutting aspect because there were more ideas about what shapes we could use.

The kids spent the first day gluing to their heart's content. The second day I gave them paints and let them go to town!

Day One: Gluing

Day Two: Painting!
