Fine Motor Sensory Play + Paint = Gorgeous Fun

Yesterday at the lambies we had a great time! They are still learning about circles and so I brought in an array of circular and other items for them to play with:

• round styrofoam discs
• beads
• pipe cleaners

After making sure the lambies knew NOT to put the beads in their mouths, ears, or noses, I gave each of them a disc and pipe cleaners cut in half. They were able to stick the pipe cleaners in the styrofoam and put lots of beads on them. I showed them how to make curlicues with the pipe cleaners and just let them play.

After they were finished adding beads, I mixed up a few colors of paint and they were able to add paint to their sculptures.
